TONY MAGNUSSON
TITAN Skateboard Tool's founder was introduced to the legendary Tony Magnusson a few years back via the VANS Combi "Pool Party" contest in Orange, CA. TITAN had sponsored the infamous Steve Steadham's trip to compete (Powell Peralta Bones Brigade original member).
At the contest, Steadham hooked-up various legendary riders with skate tools and began sending photos of riders stoked on the skateboard tool's design including Magnusson, McGill, Mountain, Staab, Hosoi and "the Voice of Skateboarding", Dave Duncan.
Later, it was arranged to meet Tony Magnusson in Sweden where he would be inducted into their Skateboarding Hall of Fame back in his home country. His induction is of course from being pro in America and going on to found H-Street Skateboards, which surpassed Powell Peralta as the "it" brand as street skating began to overshadow vert skating for a period. Riders like Danny Way (who could ride both street and vert), and the iconic Matt Hensley were just a couple of the riders to help put H-Street on the map in addition to Tony blasting 9-foot McTwists.
Tony Magnusson went on to also co-found EVOL Snowboards and the famous skate shoe brand OSIRIS. Tony continues to run H-Street Skateboards (where its site visitors can also purchase TITAN skate tools), and plays an active role sponsoring young up-and-coming male and female riders around the globe.
